NDIS Medication Support and Incident Prevention
Medication-related incidents often arise from misunderstandings, disrupted routines, or lack of confidence in recognising concerns.
Medication support contributes to incident prevention by strengthening education, reinforcing safe practices, building reliable routines, and supporting communication across care teams. When participants and those supporting them understand medications and feel confident responding to changes or concerns, the likelihood of errors and adverse events is reduced.
Effective medication support is therefore an important part of a broader approach to risk reduction and safeguarding within the NDIS.
